Causes attached to females:
  • Changes in hormone production in the hypothalamus, pituitary (hipofisis), thyroid, adrenals (glándulas suprarrenales) or in the ovary thus producing a disturbance in the maturation of gametes.
  • Infections, malformations or operations in the fallopian tubes or uterus.
  • Endometriosis.

Causes linked to males:

Unexplained or unknown infertility
